A short story about heather

Founder of the Writers’ Loft community, and developer of the Creatively WIN and CakeWalk methods for writers, Heather wears many hats. She is a professional mentor, publisher, editor, author, conference director, and Pokémon catcher. She strives to help all writers, big and small, tell their stories. She thrives on collaboration, creativity, and community. She writes small-town romance and thrillers under pen names. Heather lives in New England with as many cats as her husband and three children allow.

A longer story about heather

At heart, Heather Kelly is an entrepreneur and community builder. She grew up in Downingtown, Pennsylvania, traveled to Colby College in Maine for school, and then settled happily in New England. She founded the Writers’ Loft community in 2013 and helped run the New England SCBWI Spring Conference for four years. She loves collaborating, creating, and dreaming up Big Ideas. She is so grateful for all the friends who help her bring those huge ideas to life and is thrilled to return the favor when they pursue their Big Ideas.

Heather believes in saying “YES” to the Universe and loves it when the Universe writes a plot twist in her life story. She loves editing, authoring, mentoring, teaching, publishing, and supporting creatives. Some of her plot twists so far include FIRSTS (2016), a Writers’ Loft short-story anthology; AN ASSORTMENT OF ANIMALS (2018), a Writers’ Loft illustrated poetry anthology; JUMPSTART YOUR WRITING IN 30 DAYS, a Creatively WIN workbook (2020); FRIENDS AND ANEMONES anthology a Writers’ Loft illustrated poetry anthology (2020); Little Book Locker (getting thousands of books into the hands of kids without access to books since 2020) the upcoming GNOMES AND UNGNOMES a Writers’ Loft illustrated poetry anthology (2023). She writes and indie publishes romance and thrillers under pen names. Heather loves to hang out with her husband, three kids, and many cats, whether playing Beat Saber, Pokémon Go, or training for ridiculously long running races.
